Women Alb World, a powerful Albanian female voice in Switzerland.
Mirela Mezani, founder of WAW (Women Alb World) exclusively recounts to journalist Sokol
Paja, for Dielli newspaper organization and main activity in collaboration with the Swiss

WAW (WOMEN ALB WORLD) stimulates and nurtures the network among Albanian women-

On September 19, the Women Alb World association brought together Albanian women in
Geneva for a thematic event titled "Participation of women and girls in leadership, an example of
integration for the Albanian-speaking community."
On Saturday, September 19, the organization presented its concept, which defined female
leadership broadly. In this thematic event, titled "Participation of Women and Girls in
Leadership, an Example of Integration for the Albanian-speaking Community," the public had
the opportunity to discover positive messages from various actors in politics, diplomacy, civil
society, and the media, in addition to the evidence and cooperation between women and girls in
leadership. The WAW (WOMEN ALB WORLD) association, based in Geneva, aims to "create a
network between women in leadership positions and those with varying levels of integration."

On the occasion of March 8 among the Albanian women in Switzerland, of the International
Association "Women Alb World" in Geneva, journalist Nefail Maliqi of the news agency

"Presheva our." Mirela Mezani is the president, Juliana Cici is the general secretary, Blerina Zoto
is a member, Teuta Rashiti is a committee member, and Fortesa Mustafa is a committee member.
In this article it was discussed about WAW (WOMEN ALB WORLD)’s objectives about the
integration of the women into society.
It is also discussed about the cooperation between sister organizations, currently a part of a
network and grouping of over 70 feminist organizations in Genevoises (Centre de Liaison des
Assocations Feminines Genevoises- CLAFG).

Women Alb World also gave a message for Albanian-speaking women and girls all over the
world on the occasion of 8 March : Happy March 8 and let this day serve as a day of reflection
for all of us, to be in synergy with each other in our efforts to be empowered through networking
and the exchange of best practices for a more dignified representation in society. We can only do
it together.

The goal of this activity is to present the values of Albanian culture/crafts while also promoting
