The Committee is composed of 5 elected members from the General Assembly and stays in power for 7 years, without having the right to be re-elected.

The Committee is authorized to take actions related to the association’s goal. It has the widest competences in managing daily issues.


In May 2019, Mrs. Mirela Mezani assumed her functions as the President of “Women Alb World”  International Association.

Mirela brings over  20 years job experience in business and administration. She was the first woman selected as a member and head of media relations at the Business Network in Switzerland and Europe and also she established the first branch of Euromoda school in Albania.

For over 10 years, Mirela was the Director of Fashion and Handicrafts for Albanian Women Association of Professionals, Business and Handicrafts and also manages her own business “Elia Style”. She was the founder of curricula in designing and fashion.

In November 2017, she was selected as Media Consultant for Diaspora, “URA” program at TVSH3 –  a program that builds bridges for all the diaspora.

Mirela is married and has a daughter.

JULIANA CICI – Secretary General

Secretary General of “Women Alb World” International Association.

Juliana brings over 13 years job experience as a lawyer and expert in human rights at both national and international levels.

This recent two years she has been working with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at its headquarters in Geneva where she has made contributions in the following fields: drafting reports; researches; briefing for the different UN mechanisms on human rights and has been fully involved in the preparation of sessions for the GANHRI Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA) for National Human Rights Institutions.

During the period 2006-2017, Juliana held the position of Deputy Commissioner within the Office of People’s Advocate (Ombudsman), in the Republic of Albania where she has possibilities to be part of different working groups for the implementation of reforms such as Public Administration, Justice Reform and Human Rights. She has been involved and selected to participate in a number of training including Malta, Netherlands, France, Austria, Poloni, Hungary etc focusing on good governance, fighting against corruption and human rights.

In 2016 she was certified official trainer for human rights by the OSCE in Albania.

Juliana has completed two masters’ degree in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva and Social and Political Science from the University of Tirana, Albania where she also studied law.

Juliana has a special interest in politics and gender equality and she believes in “Women’s power”.

She is a single mother of a daughter- 9 years old.


She was nominated by the Committee of Women Alb World International Association for the position of the  Project Manager on May 2019.

Blerina brings over 20 years of dedicated and passionate service in diplomacy and international relations, particularly in serving and strengthening vulnerable populations by promoting their rights. Throughout her career and specifically in the last 10 years, she has build important partnerships and investments for women, youth and Roma communities and bring a wealth of expertise in the implementation of key reforms, including programs for their advancement in higher education.

In 2002 she was the President founder of the Association of Graduate Women of the Albania Chapter, and  was able to build a membership of over 200 members across Albania. Through this organization, she has managed grants from the USAID, EU, the EAC Group and other donors ad tackled issues of supporting women in their role as part of the integration in the EU such as capacity building to promote women in leadership roles and preparing them for top positions as decision-makers.

As a result of her expertise, she has recently been recognized and invited to be a member of the Council of Expert for the Federation for Education in Europe (FEDE) as an Expert of the Human Rights.

Blerina hold a master degree in Business Administration (MBA), International Diploma in Management from University of Montesquieu Bordeaux, France and is a multi-linguistic in French, Italian, English and Albanian.

Blerina is a mother of two children a daughter and a son.


Teuta was nominated as the Treasurer of the “Women Alb World” International Association.

She brings over than 10 years job experience in management and organization of over 100 activities within the Albanian Women community in Switzerland.

For more than five years she has been planning and managing special events including catering services for individuals, international and non profit organizations. Other events she manages include menu selections, venue search, entertainment, decor etc – everything necessary and associated with a successful activity from inception to completion.

Teuta is married and is a mother of one son and two daughters.


Fortesa is a student, who after finishing high school in Italian in Ticino came to study at the Faculty of Law in Zurich.

She is currently continuing her master’s degree studies for a bilingual diploma in law (German and French).

During her studies Fortesa worked for the Kosova Embassy in Bern as executive assistant to the ambassador and also for the research institute of the University and the Polytechnic of Zurich.

Fortesa is very active in the Albanian community in Switzerland, because she is often commissioned by associations, politicians, and institutions as a moderator and is responsible for giving private repetitions to young people in middle and high school.
